On Device for Privacy by Design

Therapy data never leaves your computer.

We never use or lose patient data, because we never have access to it.

When my therapist started using an ambient scribe, I was concerned about the risks of sending session recordings to third parties. So I built an on device ambient scribe that processes all data locally (below).

Since then we’ve heard from the clinical community a desire for different types of on device assistive tools. We’re currently exploring ways to develop this collaboratively in a community-driven way. If you are a practicing clinician, take our survey to help shape what we're building.

Backstory

On Device Scribe

Ambient scribes can help reduce provider burnout, but the typical scribe sends recordings of therapy sessions to the cloud for processing. Harvested data is often used for training models that are good at memorization.

ScribeLock's ambient scribe keeps all data, including session recordings, local to the therapist's computer for the entire workflow. Data is stored in encrypted format for the minimal amount of time needed. Therapists maintain control of therapy data-the way it should be.

What's said in therapy stays in therapy.
